I saw this at the same car show as the 4x4 Ford wagon.

This is certainly unique. It looks like it is well done. I find it interesting that the builder didn't install a grille shell infront of the radiator. It looks a little unfinished without one.

I was thinking the same thing, but I see a trend on the latest 'rat rods:' the unfinished front end/back end look. Otherwise, that's quite a cool rod. It may just bring a prize for the "Coolest Torque-Induced Backflip."

I'm not familiar at all with truck engines like that. What is it?

Detroit Diesel 92 Series 2 stroke, V configuration. Looks like an 8 cylinder going by the exhaust manifolds.
That thing has like no front suspension, I beam and a little leaf pack. I remember as a kid seeing guys aligning those I beam front ends with a torch and a sledge hammer, not much else you can do.

Probably only gets driven in grass and on a smooth highway now.
    Sure needs a grille shell!
The first clue that it's a Detroit diesel is the writing on the engine.

I love the super singles on the back. This just screams "Excuse me? Have you any Grey Poupon?"...OK, it doesn't, but I'd love to pull up next to a Roller and ask him that question, while driving this beast!

The only thing I like about this truck is the color! I'd almost rather drive a Prius!:rofl2:

    Well maybe!:slap:
