403 V8. Now this sounds safe: Fuel lines rusted through so it now has intravenous feedings via rubber fuel lines to a 2 gallon gas can on front floor https://capecod.craigslist.org/cto/5479273215.html
I would not expect much more than that for the asking price, you can probably get it for $500. Very low option car exept for the 403 engine, these always look oddto me with no roof rack.
Be a lot safer to to put a 50 gallon drum for fuel on that trailer then run the rubber fuel lines to it. For added safety you could equip the hitch with explosive bolts to disconnect it quickly in case of rear end collision. I personally hate driving down the street with a flaming auxiliary fuel tank trailer on the back of my car that I can't get away from...just a thing of mine.
I guess this is a non smoking car inside, and not just because of the cigarette smell... but what a buzz those gas fume would give ....sorry honey but you have to sit in the back seat, unless you want to hold the gas can on your lap.
