It would be nice to know what the seats are like under those blankets, and what the rear cargo area vinyl is like. But $9,600 seems pretty reasonable for a car that has had all the mechanicals gone through. Too bad about the dash. Steering wheel looks like a dog has been chewing it. The front headlight bezels look like they've been painted white or silver? No big deal. I could live with that. Original paint is a big, big plus in my opinion. I went to see a '63 Country Sedan two years ago that was in far, far worse condition (and at the same price) than this one. But that was a Canadian car, and to be expected. If it was near me (and I had the cash) I'd be all over it like a politician after your tax money.
Thanks. I have this same car - but mine's in nicer condition. I just like to watch what's going on in the market.
I'm not seeing a wagon worth this much. But I've been hiding under a rock. Behind the passenger rear door appears to be dented or creased. Other small dents. Paint may be kool to some but too me it needs to go in the paint booth. Needs at least front and second seat recovered.New dash pad. Sheets are for the bed! Headlite bezels need rechromed and more nitpicking. Yet it has a surf board. That would come in handy on the Illinois river when we move. Altho I have two already. This brings me to another idea. Surf board rentals in central Illinois. Could be a first. I'm lookin at $6500 tops.
It isn't though. Ad states it was repainted in the mid 80's. Could be a decent car. It is hard to tell what condition the frame and floors are in from the washed out photos trying to show them. It doesn't look like it is rusting from the top down like a lot of west coast cars.
1.5 years ago I bought a 63 Colony Park for $9500. Paint on mine is better and interior is almost factory condition. So my opinion is this one is a bit high.
