That's good to know if you do shop online. I personally do not, and so I'm happy to pay the AZ price for the convenience and security.

You both have a point in that its cheaper online but i prefer to have the peace of mind of buying it in a store.

We've ordered everything from gas tanks to fuel pumps thru RockAuto. Never any problems and saved a lot of hard earned money which I have less of everyday.

And I do not do credit cards or debit cards for security reasons. Just my choice. When I got my first apartment, Even though Spring, MCI, etc. we're all cheaper than Ma Bell, I elected to go with Ma Bell, even though more expensive, because the others had talkback problems on their long distance services, which was not just annoying, it was very maddening.

x2 on Rockauto, used them for years.
Much better selection than any parts store, and about half the cost on a lot of stuff, even with shipping. They also have a lot of older GM parts in stock also. I just picked up a correct part number AC Delco ignition switch with keys for my Custom Cruiser.
They give you those credit card sized refrigerator magnets with customer car pics on them with each order too.
I'm pretty sure I have enough of them to cover a regulation size battleship.:D

My son must have those magnets. I remember seeing some.
Now and then they will list discount prices on '55 Chevy NOS parts.:thumbs2:
Never a problem with a Debit Credit card.:2cents:

Well sadly i have to put that fuel pump on hold because she started having this problem where 4th gear wont rev higher than 2200 when going about 50. It revs real high when i want but once it hits 50 its over. Any clue guys? (P.s. il try rock auto)

It needs to go to a trusted shop that does diagnosis. What it's doing is operating in a 'failure' mode as soon as OD engages. Why it goes into failure mode when that happens is the reason it needs to go to a shop. And it's possible the problem is the cause of your lowered MPGs.

I don't know diddly about modern cars but our son has a gauge to hook up under the dash to check the car's brain and heart. He says the auto parts stores also can scan a car free. Like AutoZone, Discount Auto, etc. Silvertwinkie is this true? It might save him a bundle.

If i must take her to a shop i will. As for auto zone my car does not come with ob2 because some old wizard with a paper clip came out when my uncle tried getting it tested before handing me the keys and got a code for running lean and running rich which dissapeared when he swapped o2 sensor.

His car is OBD I standard, but yes, his can be made to spit codes with a paper clip versus using a handheld scan tool some parts ape barely knows how to interpret let alone hook up. Just Google "1990 Camry code reading" and it'll show you where the diagnostic connector is and which pins you jumper.

I had a 1954 Ford. No wonder those keys slid in and out of the locks so smoothly.
