    I believe the front seats in these were also used in the Taurus SHO (with a different upholstery design)

    Came very close to buying one of these back then. Very nice cars.

    They look kind of similar, but I don't think they are the same. The SHO/SC seats had adjustable side bolsters (on the seat back) and also adjustable lumbar support. The side bolsters on those seats look static and the only seat adjustment knobs I see are fore/aft, up/down, and seat recline.

    A guy down the street from me used to own an XR4TI. The XR4TI was a different bodied version of the TurboCoupe and SVO Mustang with quirky styling (well obviously the chassis/suspension was different and probably better). I never really saw the need for the Scorpio when they had the Taurus and Taurus SHO, and also seemed like too much overlap to ever be successful here.

    The XR4Ti had that hideous double rear spoiler. Of course, these days, that is kinda tame when compared to some of the stupid things you see on Japanese "tuner cars"...
