"HERO" car according to the listing.....??? It is nice, I personally like the look of the early 60's Mercury wheel covers/hub caps. white wall and black wall tires take away from it IMO...but then again it was allegedly used for TV and movies with make it a "HERO" I guess.........

If the "foot runners" are pretty young women of questionable morals wearing nothing but Nike's, then it may be worth the money.
Otherwise, its a nice car, but not anywhere near $8500.00 nice.
Apparently it doesn't have the third row way back seat?

The 3rd seat was not available in the Fairmont/Zephyr wagons. Not enough room, just like the 1978/83 GM intermediate wagons.

Don't know what a hero car is. It also has MeatChicken plates on it.

Couldn't tell if it was that or a trick of the lighting in the photos.

It's now on ebay with a min bid of $6K.
I don't know if any of the Fox body wagons have appreciated to this point, but I'd at least expect a V8 for that price. A six cylinder Zephyr Villager in this price range ought to be near mint.

The statement about things you have to work with and calling it a project car for someone who likes to work on Ford engines sets off alarms in my mind, as does the damage over the wheel arch. Is there rust under there? I'm beginning to think that $2500 -- or maybe even less -- is a more realistic price range.
