Greenlight Collectibles has announced on Facebook that they will be releasing a 1/64 scale Family Truckster in January 2016 and a much larger 1/18 scale release will follow the second quarter of 2016. This should make some fans of the 1983 "Vacation" movie happy. Heres the picture of the preproduction unpainted 1/18 scale test shot from the mold that they posted on Facebook. Does not appear that it will have any opening features like hood or doors. http://www.greenlighttoys.com/
Here's the 1/18 scale Family Truckster in 1/18 scale now in stock at American Excellence. https://www.american-excellence.com/?p=details&i=210795
Hot Wheels or Matchbox had one last year, I had found it at Toys 'R' Us; I think I took a pic but it would be on my phone. I'll check it and post the pic if it is.
Here it is. Took a while to find the pic and get it to where I can easily access it. BTW, it appears to not be either Hot Wheels or Matchbox; anyone recognize the manufacturer by the line name on the upper left corner?
I couldnt believe how hard it was to find model/die cast station wagons. Alot of them are $99 and most are not even in stock at that price. I found one for $14, it isnt the same color as my full size wagon but it has the wood sides and $100 for a model is too rich for my blood. I got die casts of my other 2 cars in the same colors but at least I got a wagon with the wood sides.
