:) Hi fellow wagon lovers ! Well, after half a decade of wagon quest, I’m very glad to introduce to the forum the 1990 Colony Park I had the pleasure to drive back home a few weeks ago. Built in 10/89 in Windsor, ON for the canadian market, it paradoxically spent most of its life to date in Florida where the 1st owner used to spend winters. With 73000 km on the 6 digit odometer and having always been garaged in FL, it has no rust anywhere and the underside looks like it just rolled out of the factory ! Only “defect” is the some clear coat starting to peel on the hood... It’s all original and seems equipped with the trailer towing package, as it’s fitted with the 3.55 “K” axle, a trans cooler, and factory dual exhaust. The rest looks like it’s been optioned “à la carte” : no facing rear seats, no pockets behind the front seats, no cornering lights, but electric antenna and “premium sound” radio/tape. Actually the cassette player still works and the sound is quite good ! The 2nd owner, whom I got it from, is a mechanic and car collector with a large “fleet” (among which 5 panther wagons) who only drove it 2000 km over 6 years.
Our 5 year old daughter is crazy about the car and wants to be picked up at the kindergarden every day in the “Country Squire”, as she’s been calling all woodies since around age 2 after she listened to a great video featuring a blue CS on the nice song “Country Squire” by Tom Shepherd .
My wife calls it the “big fudge”... she’s not a fan yet, as a kid she was very embarrassed of the old brown rusty family wagon they had long after the wagon era was over... but once she’ll have travelled in its comfort she will be converted...
I uploaded a slideshow on youtube for those interested :
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4egdAtZFNKE
The link for the accompaniment is me on the piano, but I’m quite rusted...
    Hope you’ll enjoy !
PS I have a question : would anyone know if the facing rear seats can be added without drilling the metal ? I might have an opportunity to buy some out of another panther wagon, which would only be used for show and for occasional low speed use like in campgrounds, but if it’s necessary to make holes in the trunk floor I’ll let go this idea.

I'm guessing there was a police chase, judging by the picture(nice art work bye the bye)on the way home with your new fudge? :biglaugh: Loved the intro, thank you. I'm sure your wife will come around. Toss her the keys the next time she has to go for groceries.:D

:Welcome: aboard. You may want to post your question in the General Questions section, not everyone reads the Welcome Wagon. Hope you get the answer that you seek. :)

Hi everyone and thanks for the nice words and welcome :) I also am confident the Mrs will get accustomed to the woody... I can't imagine she will resist to its comfort and space next spring when we'll travel to see her family. At first she thought it was like the Peugeot, a capricious gasoline smelling carburated car with weird levers and switches, counter clockwise rotating ignition on the left, manual choke etc... and impossible to find parts, but now that she understood it's actually a modern and reliable car in disguise, things are already improving :)
hahaha Fannie, luckily there wasn't a police chase, with the badly cracked 15 year old tires I wouldn't have gone far !!
I will post my question with close up shots of the reat folding panels fixtures, my friend's friend still has the back seats so maybe it could be a nice addition to the wagon.

    Hi Eric,
Glad to see that you finally jumped into the wagon pool, looks like it is in great shape congratulations.
So now instead trolling the internet looking for the car you do the same but just look for parts.
    Enjoy :thumbs2:

Hi Brian ! It's incredible, when I left half an hour ago to pick up my daughter at the daycare, I had the "flash" that I'd forgotten to PM you to announce the good news and you should have been the first to know !
So I just got back and logged on SWF, and found your post !
Thank you very much !! We enjoyed the wagon greatly until these last days when it got too cold, and even spent a night in it about 2 weeks ago when the poor girl had laryngitis and constant coughing, which was lessened a lot by the fresh air.
It's a great car, and my wife is slowly getting accustomed to it :) I hope next summer she accepts we take it for the traditional road trip to see her family. It was really funny, when she found out it can start without complicated manoeuvers as opposed to the Peugeot and that the various commands are not totally weird, she said "at last something normal !"
If ever you come in the Sherbrooke or Montreal area let me know.
    Have a good evening !
    Eric

Thanks Pombi, I was really looking just for a wagon, (mainly Aus made, as they are the most common over here) but when I saw this one for sale, I thought 'Yes Please!' And the originality of the car was a massive plus, its all stock original, except the paint which is a closed door respray, more a cream than white. But it does depend on the light. It was originally Sahara Beige, and the interior is parchment.

Wow thanks for the pics :) It looks terrific, the cream color is very nice on it. Do you have some of the interior ?
It looks very well preserved, I'd love to know the story behind the car !
