Here in Atlantic USA we have some great politicians we'll trade you. They are all honest. Just ask them.

Canada became a different country tonight.
We will now be governed by a sock puppet who's going to put Canada into a deep deficit and try to pay for it by going into the marijuana business.
And instead of being a sovereign nation we will now be the UN's boy toy.
I'm glad I'm married to an American.
I may have to pack up my guns and move south.

Don't know how many times not just I said this in the past few weeks, mainly to the younger generation.

When I was young I followed our politics, I had a care as to what is going on and what would be the best course for my country in the big picture. Today I find for the most part the younger generation is blinded by the quick fix promises and with ignorance vote for themselves and not the country as a whole while all the time not having a clue as to the real issues at hand.

I wish Justin the best, but I wish it for Canada first! To quote his father a great Canadian.....

    "You are Canadian first"

    I hope Justin remembers that!

I need to keep up better on current events.
A few days ago, if somebody had asked me what Canada politics are like, I would have guessed, 'Current liberal government, but new election could flip that to conservative'. Surprised to find out I had it a$$-backwards.....

Canadians finally have a democratic government again. Harper was (and still is) a certifiable nut-case. The only politician currently in circulation who might be worse is Donald Trump. If you could call The Donald a politician.

I'd like to see Harper & Trump on tour as a comedy duo in Vegas. As long as no one took them seriously, they'd be better than Martin and Lewis, Rowan and Martin, The Smothers Brothers, Abbott and Costello, Wayne and Shuster, Bob and Doug McKenzie ... just name your favourite comedy duo. They'd beat them all.

There are two things that should never be discussed on a forum, politics and religion. People who shoot their big mouths off should be prepared to accept the consequences.
