So the wagon's near Detroit, and if you were foolish enough to attempt a restoration on this one, your replacement sheet metal parts are about 2,000 miles away in Phoenix, Arizona.
I like the part of the ad where he says, "no texting, if you're pent down by gunfire, call me when you done, but don't text me!" It is Detroit after all! I'd buy this car and drive it like it is, patching as best I can. I love these things. But this is more of a $700 project, not a $1700 one. That 455/TH400 can come out and someone can shove it into a muscle car, then I'll drop in a nice 4.8 or 5.3 LS motor and 4L60E, and cruise for years and years getting 20mpg. Can do a lot more floor rust repair with the drivetrain out as it'll be easier to lift up without the weight of a big block engine and transmission.
Hey that car is actually in Saginaw Michigan, its a much safer location, its only listed as the 4th most dangerous City in the US, Compared to Detroit at 2nd. I did see that car on the road about 3 years ago while driving in Bridgeport MI, and it looked pretty much as it does in the pictures. It had for Sale signs in the windows then too. Also the ad says it has a Olds 350 with a 200R4 Trans, so no 455 or TH400 to sell. If it does have that drivetrain I could see paying $1200 if I needed the interior Plastic (if its any good)
