He's asking only $900, so the ad doesn't have to answer to much. But it would be nice if he'd mention what engine it has as well as any options. He spends all his time talking about the battery not holding a charge. Fine, but there should be more to the car than that plus two somewhat distant, out-of-focus photos. It's an Omega 4-door. He's going to have a hard enough time selling it as it is.
Quote from listing............. Three mechanics have looked at it and only problem is the brand new battery won't stay charged, but will start and run for a while after i hook up a portable charger Same 3 mechanics that.... why is your other car kinda looking left for dead in the bushes beside this one? Well, at least the 3 mechanics were able to tell you it won't stay charged.....how much were you charged for that wealth of info?
Maybe time for mechanic #4.........one that, you know, actually works on cars for a living and makes money doing it? (As opposed to Clem, Jim-Bob and old Roy down the road.....)
I've been looking at another old X-body lately, this is a 1977 Pontiac Ventura sedan down in Cincy... http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/5180705979.html Also $900 and needs a couple things to be roadworthy. But I do like Omegas too. I guess if I could have the perfect late 70s X-body it would be a 1976 model, hatchback, with a straight six and three speed on the column. I guess any of the makes would do but I like the Skylarks best.
If you go back one year, you could have a Buick Apollo (13). IIRC, they had the odd-fire 3.8's. A 3-on-the-tree would be interesting.
I would consider this 4-door if you prefer the Buick version http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/5214370510.html Unless you prefer a 4-door body style of course. This one says it has a Buick 350.
