Hey guys & gals! I found this site while searching for something (I don't remember what) and just had to join! We're pretty much a car family, and though my wife really doesn't understand the whole "car thing," she is quite supportive concerning my automotive expenditures. My daily ride is a 1989 asc/McLaren convertible, and she drives a Mercedes SLK230 (also a convertible). I have also been building a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass/442 convertible in the pro-touring style. As for our wagon... you knew there was a wagon in there somewhere, right... we have a 1986 Mercury Colony Park. It's white with wood grain, a burgundy interior, and 116,000 miles on it. The very back is my "pick up truck," while the passenger part is for anytime we need a vehicle that seats more than two. Shiny Side Up! Bill
Welcome aboard Bill. Did you ever see that movie about settling the great state of Oklahoma (can't remember the title). Anyway, the families are in covered wagons or horseback, and they have to race out and get the stakes to mark their land. Transportation is what built our countries so fast, and here we are on two of the 5 largest nations of the planet with the freedom to roam, see, work, visit, and set up our countries for the next growth run... if we can get there. That's the car 'thing'. Wagons are great pick-me-ups, too. Good to have you with us. I'm sure you'll remember why you were checking us out before. Gotta warn ya. We are picture nutz too.
to the wagon train, ProTour! Stick around...you may start tradin' those 'verts for wagons! Normy....was that the movie with Nicole Kidman?
Welcome to the board. BTW there is an Oldsmobile shw in Malvern Pa Saturday if the 442 is ready to run. BTW are you also on the Pro-Touring board?
Welcome Bill! Would love to see that Colony Park! Sounds like you use it like I use mine. It was a people hauler/lawnmower hauler today!
That's what wagons were designed for to begin with. I've had mine full to the rafters a couple of times. Who needs a truck?
