There's a concept in photography known as centering the field of view on the subject. With this guy, we know as much about the street the car is parked on as we do about the car itself.

Good looking car. Just from an unscientific observation, I think the 429 was pretty rare in the '69 CS.

Problems: Dual exhaust not a factory option for '69 CS. Non-authentic replacement woodgrain; will cost a couple of Gs to put right if you're picky like me.

I'm sorry, but another little thing that irks me here is the crooked front license plate on an almost $12,000 car. For that price the seller can't put the other bolt in? It makes me question how much the seller cares about the car and his potential customer, and what else is being carelessly overlooked. It really is about the little details sometimes.

Seeing this green '69 Squire makes me mad.......

I had just moved out of the house, into an apartment a few miles away, when I come home for a nice dinner to find the folks had traded their yellow '66 Chevy Caprice Estate in on a new '69 Galaxie 500 2-door hardtop. It was like the one below, only the same color green as this Squire in the ad..... No vinyl top, either - ALL green.

They didn't even get the much nicer-looking 'sportsroof' model, which could have been had for pretty much the same money. They didn't pay for the much nicer LTD model. They didn't pay for AIR CONDITIONING. They didn't even pay for a dang AM-FM radio.......... Did have power steering and brakes, but those were standard. Drove it once or twice. Really needed a firmer steering feel - felt like you were the captain of a boat, not the driver of a car.

    OK, rant over......

The '72 Gran Torino came AFTER the '69 Galaxie...obviously. I'll go fix it.......
