Some of the members know I've had extreme back surgery several years ago but for those that don't, I'm full of nut's, bolts, and rods holding me together, I have to be extremely careful for the rest of my life, my movement is limited and there are a lot of things physically I can never do again....but I keep going!(y)

I have no choice and have to sleep in one of these I paid big $ for many years ago, worth ever penny!

Only time I'm some what miserable in the chair above is in the summer heat as it's leather and even with towels on it an no blanket on me it can still be a hot night sleeping.

A week or so ago I found a lawn chair version at the hardware store, almost fell asleep in the store it was so comfy. Took one home and have been sleeping nice and cool along with being able to sit outside in comfort. was the best $60 I ever spent....or so I thought!

Mine is the EXACT model as above..... Online I see that you can for a extra $11 buy a 1 year replacement warranty and now I know why!

Last night around 4am I wake up laying on the floor, wind kicked rite out of me, lower and upper back done ....... took almost 20 minutes for me to get up with my wife helping... The F***ing thing collapsed rite out from under me while sleeping!

In the store it was even advertised at 300lb max rating and I'm only a skinny 245lb! Needless to say I'm a mess today, havn't slept a wink since and don't even know yet if I'll be able to make it in for work tomorrow and only work permanent lite duty.

BUYER BEWARE, NEVER GET ONE OF THESE CHAIRS FROM THIS MANUFACTURER!!!!:badwords::mad:

Sorry Tedy. I have one similar to the top one that my daughter-in-law insisted I bring home several years ago. It has vibrate and heat plus all kinds of wiggly movements if set right.
She bought it and never used it. She decided I'd use it. Well I've sat in it a few times and so has our son here. But I mostly sit at my uncomfortable computer chair and sleep on the same water bed I've had since they were invented .
I'm sure our drugstore has that lawn chair model on sale.

I'm sitting in one of those folding chairs right now. I don't think it's the same manufacturer, though. I bought it over a year ago when I destroyed my shoulder and couldn't sleep in bed. I don't have a recliner and spend too much time in this chair. Did your chair break or just fold on you. One time I didn't fold the legs all the way out and wound up on my back when I leaned back. I had my Chihuahua on my lap and luckily didn't launch her in the air when I fell back.

Aw, man, reading that makes me hurt. I cracked my tailbone when I was 9, and because I grew over six feet, I've had problems all my life (and being up to 230# overweight for half my life has never helped). So I always have looked for some kind of chair to be able to relax in (And who the f%&k thinks a straight-back dining chair is good for your back AND comfortable???), and the only one I've found that helps me is the type of easy chair that has the motor drive to help you get up. The beautiful thing about it's design is you can run it to the point where you're comfy, instead of going all the way from upright to fully reclined since a recliner won't hold the intermediate position you want.

Not having the warranty just means you can't get a free replacement. You still have the option of legal action against the manufacturer for causing a complication of your injury.

    Sue sue sue!

I was thinking make a formal complaint and at least get another new chair.
As for recliners, my wife bought me one over 40 years ago and I still occasionally sit back in it. Most of our company heads for the old brown recliner. Have no idea what brand it is but it wasn't cheap. She likes spending my money.:yup:
It's the kind you just apply your back weight to the upper back and it goes back as far as you want. No motors, no levers, just weight. When I was filling up with fluids I slept in it. Now I'm only full of +@$t. :rofl2:
Have a smaller one that belonged to my aunt. It's been on our open back porch over 21 years. It's mostly out of the weather but is now sun faded. It's where we stop to put shoes on and off or I stare at the back yard.
Not today, it's 110 heat index.

The chair broke, the left side "plastic" arm rest witch is the main knuckle so to say failed. So I figure when it gave way I went down and everything else bend under my weight.

As for anything else all I'll get is my money back from the store under it's 30 day return policy. I'm just bumped and bruised so up here in Canukastan legal action would be pointless, I'd spend a small fortune to most likely get zip in the end.

Hope you start feeling better soon. I'm scared of most of those new lawn chairs of any style. Had many of those cheap plastic regular patio chairs break on the first day. Either the legs fold under or the arms break.
Years ago they cost $5.00 and lasted years until the sun deteriorated them.
I almost bought one of those chaise loungers a few weeks ago at our drug store. If I fell the fire ants would eat me before I could get up.:slap:
