KK it is a nice looking old Dodge but a person will have to have some really good fab skills to repair it all. The right person can do the work and really bring it back to it's glory.

I didn't think you were faulting me, Marshall. I consider you a good friend and you have helped me out in the past. You are right about it being a nice old car but if you look close in & out...it will take a LOT of money to make it RIGHT. This car appears to me to have been a rusty old car that someone did a quick cosmetic job on and stuck it on Epay. Take a look at the inside...new but incorrect carpet in the back (covering what?) the pedals etc. It didn't even get a good clean up before it was filled and painted. I'm looking into another one right now but can't get the stupid classic car place to send me a pic! Some of these so called "classic" car dealers are irritating as hell. They think they need to force you to call so they can use their magic sales skills to sell you a car sight unseen. Anyway...no offense taken, Marshall. I just have a BIG problem with a cosmetic car drawing big money. It simply isn't fair to the uninformed buyer. Have a good day, pal.

    Silverfox,
I was in no way trying to defend the guy. I don't even know him, I just know of him. He is a huge MOPAR freak that has a wickedly tricked out Viper GTS couple and manages or runs a dragstrip so I don't think he in anyway did any of the sculpting on the car. It looks the same as it did in the pics he posted of it on the other forum I mentioned, plus the time frame doesn't fit to have done that major of a snowjob on that car. He is honest about the rest of the prblems and concerns he has with it and that is a plus in my book.

I have seen my fair share of bondo wizardry as well, I was bit by a polished hunk of bondo. It was a 1968 Caprice 2 door hardtop sport roof. It was given to me in 1995 as my high school graduation present and I was very proud of the car. Well a couple months passed and the quarter started to bubble up, further inspection revealed bondo and fiberglass were the only materials in the lower quarters and all around the entire roof. Thanks GM for the wonderful invention of the vinyl roof, this is where the majority of the rust was and unfortunately I was not skilled or funded enough to repair it properly, or have it repaired so I parted it out and scraped the shell. When the forklift at the junkyard went to pick up the car off the trailer the entire roof riped off the car. I was and am still heart broken and angry about that car. I would hate to ever have been a part in that happening to someone else as it does hurt and can ruin a persons love for old cars in a hurry.

Yeah it's 50 years old and it's got bondo, ofcourse it will, but brand new cars roll off the line with bondo. There probly is new metal under it but maybe it was done poorley and a gallon instead of a table spoon of fill was used...we'll never know.

I see nothing wrong with "it looks good but...." threads.

Yeah, Fat...I wish it was mine too. But not for 8K.

Hey Uber..no problem. I wrote and talked to the owner of the car and he seems to be totally honest. You can tell he's from the South regarding rust though. He was talking rain not salt rust. He said the car spent its life in the midwest. Rain ain't the problem in the midwest. Nice guy though.

KK...have you seen this car around? Looks to be a driver. Not sure they came with a 383? I like what little I can see. Will probably email the guy. I'm leaving now and will be back later this evening. Will email him then. Thanks, Marshall.

Very nice! My great-grandpa had a 59 Dodge. Police Package, he came home mad one day when my dad was a kid. Said that he got laughed at at the shop. He took it to the thop and complained every time he took off from a stop lite the tires squealed!

They're coming out of the woodwork. Same seller for both of those last ones. The black/red one looks particularly nice.

I called on the white/red one yesterday- left message.
