I seen on the website for Power Tour that June 12th y'all will be coming to Picayune, Mississippi. The route shows it to come in on US 11 which is 2 blocks from where I work on Memorial Blvd. If your in the area and need anything or want to stop in and say "Hi" look for Delta World Tire.

They only have 6 of us there, so if you don't see a big headed fat guy, just ask any of the other 5 for Dennis. Have a safe trip and hopefully I will get to meet another forum member.

I gave up on Power Tours and big time car events when they started letting late models in. I usually just go to Wal-Mart or the delerships and look at cars.
This old body gets tired wandering among a 1000 Camaros, Mustangs, etc. just to see a few plastic 32 Fords.
Still I'm sure it is fun and exciting.

 

It is what you make of it. I don't think I've spent more then an hour at any venue but the first. I go and do the few little things a long hauler does to collect my free stuff and then it is off to explore the surrounding area. Yes there are lots of late models but there is also a lot of old cars. I have seen at least 3 59 Chevy wagons and an el camino. There are hundreds of tri five Chevy"s and even something's you would never think would attend but this is about getting out on the road and driving your car and meeting the friends you met over the yrs. as a car guy it is quite impressive to be driving on a highway and most of what you see ahead and behind of you is power tiour cars of all years and makes

 

I'm sure it is fun no matter what a person drives. Meeting old friends at car shows was one of our high points, even if you really never get to know them otherwise.
When I traded our 55 wagon the other owner drove the Power Tour out of Florida. He was originally from Michigan and was already familiar with the Woodward cruise scene.
Even though I never went it makes me feel good my wagon did. It even has the stickers on the windshield.
May not get to see your photos for awhile. Headed to NC soon with son.
