OK I want to put power windows in my 83 Malibu, what do you prefer Autoloc window kit or find all the factory stuff? Not sure how well the Autoloc on the window cranks hold up, can get new power regulators.

I never liked Autoloc or any of the other types. They seemed chintzy, and I have dealt with one that had broken in the down position. Any of the G-body cars will yield all the parts and wiring you'll need to convert over.

I would look for the original parts. Harness, bellows, motors, etc. For the motors, you're probably better off getting new replacements...unless of course they come from a clean old granny car. Also look for a 4-dr G-body car, Malibu, Pontiac Lemans/ Bonneville, Olds Cutlass. You'll also need the harness and power mechanisms for the rear vent windows, unless you don't care to have power rear vents.

You can place a WANT ad on the G-body Forum. I'm sure you'll get a response.

    Oh well, I tried.
I know another guy that I've bought parts from over the years..he's up in Canada. I can ask him, he finds nice parts. The shipping is a bit high, but worth it most times.
