    I have yet to see any but the holes allow too much movement. I don't know what material they're made of. I have measured the stud 3/8" wide and 5/8" high in hopes of finding a retainer from a fastener company. If I find a suitable one I will post it.

    Check with Fastenal. They have all kinds of fasteners, with all examples in books to make it easier to match them up. All you'd need is a sample retainer from a member or found in a junk yard to match it up. Oh, bear in mind, you may have to buy a box of a few dozen instead of a baggie full of how many you need.

    Thanks, I looked at that company too. As you said the trick is eyeballing an example. I may just give them a call.

    fasteners

    I'm going to look at several rubber grommets that fit the hole and will fit the stud. piece of cake. lol
