I love the "coffin-nose" on the Ambassadors. Very Cord-like. I'll bet that is where the inspiration lie for the AMC.
Somewhere in the AMC gallery there is a photo of my old medium brown w/dark brown stripe '74 Matador wagon. Another member posted it from when I sold it via eBay a few years ago. The cars' proboscis is prominently featured. I liked the car, but always wished it were an earlier model year with a better looking front treatment.
