Seller claims to have CURT hitch's for 77-96 B-body Wagons new in box's $75 http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/4974576471.html
Hmmmm....I'd be tempted, but I'm not sure I really want a hitch on my wagon. Sure it would be handy, use a utility trailer and all, but there are other ways to haul stuff.
Mine just had a ball on the bumper factory, like a truck. no hitch? I know the original owner towed with it allot, only reason he bought it.
Just remember that is the 'little' class 2 hitch. They are still available because wagon people bought up all the class 3/4 hitches and left these sitting on the shelves. Class 2 is good for local utility trailer use but NOT for cross country travel trailer or big boat towing.
For the handy it would be a good price for a starting point on beefing it up. If closer id be very tempted. my rear bumper was only good about the first 10 years I had it. Then I ripped it off pulling a stump. Bolts pulled right through the aluminum inner support it had. Which was very odd as the front inner support is beefy steel. wasn't such a bad thing, now the bumper is sucked in and tight to the body, no big gap from them missing plastic fillers that cost $900 a set.
Exactly, I was OMG interested even though only a class 2 (all I need and put on my honeys Escape...with a 2" receiver) and searched for the company as yes I would pay the full price + shipping because all I would need it for would be my small utility trailer for short trips how ever the receiver tube being only 1.25 inches IMO it's not worth it. I could make that with a 2" receiver with thicker walled steel for less than the price but I'll just keep using my honeys ride when I need to haul the trailer and or can't borrow or steal a truck from work or a friend.
