Any help or ideas appreciated! :) The tubing that runs from the catalytic converter up to the intake manifold and the air pump has broken off. Ford says the part is no longer available. Is there a repair kit available? Thanks!!

No kit available. An exhaust shop would have to fab a section up. Apparently, the Big Three are only required to stock any emission repair parts for seven years. I've actually gone so far as to put a piece of silicone hose on, but the stuff's bloody expensive. Just about the same price as the exhaust shop fixing it.

First, that's not "EGR" tubing, that's air injection for the cat, so it doesn't melt down. Second, I had this problem on my 86 Caprice wagon. I just went to Tractor Supply, got a piece of the correct diameter steel tubing, bent it to match the rusted out original, and welded the new piece to the remaining unrusted section of the old tube. Problem solved. I had to heat the new tube to bend it properly, as it was thicker wall than the original.

Go to an older Ford dealer that has the actual books. I would bet there are a few kicking around. I need that same pipe for my 88 sedan. Last time I got one, it was about $50. There are two of those tubes. One to the cats, and the other to the heads, and where the air goes depends on the temperature of the engine.

Is that next to the part that separates and blows exhaust fumes into the climate control? I once had to replace one of those...seemed like really poor design.
