Yes, for some reason the Falcon name was added as the base mid-sized model for 1970 only, as the compact Falcon was phased out. The Falcon name was gone for good by '71.
I really like this base model wagon. It would be the 1970 equivalent of my '69 base Fairlane wagon, in the same medium metallic blue. Although the price seems a bit high.

Ford did this mid year in 1970. The first part of the year they sold what was basically a carry-over 1969 Falcon as a '70. These were on a 113" wheelbase and were considered compact cars. The base mid-size was the Fairlane 500. I don't know if production of the Fairlane continued into the second half of 1970. The "Torino Falcon", as it was sometimes called, was actually marketed as a '70 1/2. The '70 1/2 wagon outsold the combined total of base '70 Falcon and '70 Futura wagons by almost 4:1. Unlike the "old" Falcon, which topped out with Ford's lowest powered V8 every year it had a V8 option, the '70 1/2 had the same engine choices as the Torino, right up to the 429s. An interesting model. I think it's somewhat sought after by '70 - '71 Torino fanatics. Well worth the asking if it's not a rust bucket.
There's a local guy that has a 70 1/2 Falcon with 429SCJ. His is yellow. I see it at the local cruise night every once in a while. Found some pics. His has a shaker!
