Yesterday I took the wife and kids to the local outlet mall, since I needed some new shirts.
It was pretty busy when we got there, and I didn't see any good parking spots. Then, I notice that right up front, next to the handicapped posts there were two empty spots with this sign. "Electric vehicle charging station" Well, I thought to myself. It doesn't say electric vehicle "only", and besides, my car uses electricity!
Needless to say, as soon as I pulled in, my wife immediately told me that I was not going to do what I thought I was going to do...
I don't know what her problem was though, so I made sure to get photographic evidence. What do you all think? I don't see anything wrong with my parking job.

In the pictures, it looks like your wagon is "green". That's what its supposed to be all about isn't it? Being "green"? That's what a friend of mine reasoned when he parked his "green" 440 six pack Road Runner in a charging station parking spot reserved for "green" cars at a shopping center in Honolulu.

Watch that, as fines for parking in one of those "electric car" spots in most cities that have those, rival the fines for handicapped parking spots.

    Electrifing

Around here the young people with SUV's and pick up trucks costing more than a Mercedes park in handicapped spots, fire lanes, and where all those lines are showing no parking. So I suppose they'll also park in the electric car spots if you don't.
I only hope your gas cap is sealed tight in case someone turns the juice on!

I can remember back when I was first driving there were no such things as handicapped spots. (It really wasn't all that long ago.) Real handicapped people used crutches and old fashioned wheel chairs parking wherever they could.
About the only real handicapped people I see now are 300# or more and have mental problems caused by overeating and drinking diet soda while shopping. :drink:

Those people are not handicapped, and I can say that with absolute certainty simply because I weigh 480 lbs and overeat. I don't drink diet soda at all (turns out Aspartame eats your brain, as my sis-in-law has an MS-like brain disorder) but I nowadays hardly drink soda at all (usually as highball mixer). In saying all that, I have a bad heart and worn knees, but I refuse to get a handicap placard, because I want it for those who really do need it, and love the look on the lazy fawker's faces when I take them to task for it!
S#!t, I wore myself out doing my grocery shopping on Monday. Seriously. I had to sit in the store for 20 minutes to rest up (and admittedly I did have a Cherry Coke) before I headed to my truck. I was winded and my knees were screaming and threatening to dump me on my face. But I still refuse to get a handicap placard.

Uh, no offense intended but have you thought of switching your diet to include more fruits, vegetables and smoothies? That's what I'd try.

Good for you lost lamb. I'm not that bad except the walking part. But if we don't force ourselves we will end up non-mobile.
It's those younger people that upset me. They park in the handicapped spaces then practically run into the stores and back out.

As for those electric cars and the charging stations, I wonder just how long that fad will last. It's been nearly 100 years since the first ones. Batteries and everything else are much better. They can work if people let them.
I wonder what it's gonna cost to plug in?

I have to fix all the bugaboos in my head and learn how to modify my behavior, as I'm addicted. Addicted to the wrong kinds of food, and addicted to too much food. If my addiction were toward fruits and vegetables, I'd still have a problem with addiction. I can buy all the salad veggies I want, and end up ignoring them, even the simplest to prepare, because it does nothing for my addictions. No matter what I've done to date, I always end up coming back.

We have three kids plus one we adopted. They each surprised us several years ago when they told us they were glad we made them mind. Of course they didn't mention the beatings and times they spent for months locked in the cellar with just water and rats to play with.:rofl2:

I'm not sure what else to say except "One step at a time." So maybe start looking up smoothies?

We can preach to others to stop drinking, smoking, eating too much and eating the wrong things. But each of us is different and sometimes change is impossible.
I'm now addicted to this danged computer. As far as I know it doesn't make me drunk, have lung cancer, or get fat............. Ooops.
It did however make me lazy!

My parents lived a long life and both smoked nonstop. Some people are obese and seem more healthy than I am. Some people drink and live a ripe old age. The main thing is to be happy!

Sadly recently two good older friends ate themselves to death while being diabetics. They both knew better but loved junk food. I don't really think they died happy.
    :rant::sorry::nohijacking:You people are off topic!

I was expecting to see the cord plugged into the block heater plug. Lol at least it would be connected to something.

Gee thanks for reminding me. I remember in Illinois years ago having an engine block heater or dip stick heater. Even an in radiator hose heater, or a light bulb under the hood. Seems newer cars do start better in cold weather.

It is not just the starting factor. A block heater means that the oil flows immediately in cold weather, saving wear, and you have heat immediately, saving wear on you!
