I just wantedto post this for the southern and western members why Rust Belter's think differently about "some rust" I think the seller is dreaming on the $675 asking price, with no engine or trans this car is worth about $150 in scrap value. And I am a Pontiac and an H-body Guy!!!!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/1978-Pontia...alvage_Parts_Cars&hash=item2eca479437&vxp=mtr
That's pretty far gone. Even if you wanted to save it, where in the world would you start to get sheet metal short of sourcing a rust free shell? I can't imagine anyone paying anything for it, that's the kind of car you usually have to pay someone else to take away!
It's worth less than scrap value, if there is such a thing. I'm surprised he's bothering with ebay. He'll pay more in ebay fees than the car is worth.
What a mess............... Great-looking front end on these! A Astre / Sunbird wagon would have looked terrific with that front. Wouldn't exactly fit though. It's the same chassis, but the body structure is different.
Hey if I was looking for a Good Sunbird Dash Pad I would pay $150 for it, but that is the only way I can see me buying it.
I'd pay $150 just to look around in that shed and yard! But if you look closely, something is alive and growing on that car. Even the dash is alive. 189,500 trouble free miles.
Surprisimgly, I have seen worse driving around here! List some plywood in for a floor, and get a year or two out of her. Ibam kidding. That thing is toasted.
