My brother is in San Antonio, going to have him go look at it....if its in as good a shape as the pictures show, I'd be down for a roadkill style trip to add another 68 to the fleet....one hell of a drive back to New York ....I'd of course wait till spring ;)

Act fast. We're not the only guys/gals looking through the CL ads for deals......

Something tells me this one won't be around for long.

Nlongo Be careful trying to drive a 47 year old just purchased car cross country. I would get a trailer and bring it back that way. Just my $.02...

    I agree. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

There are some self-store places that allow you to store a vehicle. I thought about buying a car in the winter, store it in the city where it was bought then drive it home in the spring/summer.

But you'd need a large unit to store a Country Squire. :)

My brother lives in San Antonio:2_thumbs_up_-_anima storage is not a problem...

However my brother called today and he got the feeling something sketchy is going on....number is listed in ad is brothers, and he had no info on car, my brother called the other number to talk to brother and got nothing?

He tried again tonight and nothing....we will see

With any used car, no matter the age, I would take it to a good mechanic and have it checked over stem to stern before I set out on a long trip home. If you don't know a good mechanic in the area, AAA/CAA will recommend shops that they have vetted.

Problem with AAA/CAA is that you don't have to be a good mechanic (or even a honest one) but just one who has enough $$$$ to pay AAA/CAA to be/get certified .... food for thought;)

I never understand people who put up ads then don't respond to queries about the car. Well, don't give up - the seller might be on vacation/in the hospital/in jail/on a drunken binge.

IMHO the car was priced too cheap - I believe it may have been a scam of some type. If it seems to good to be true it probably is... o_O
