    1986 Toyota Cressida (Riverside CA)

    Ad text:
    1986 Toyota Cressida Station Wagon

Was originally purchased in 1986 by my grandfather. It was parked in the garage in southern California since it was new. It was the family car and had about 250,000 miles on it. Selling it because it is no longer running, needs a rebuilt transmission and perhaps other minor engine work. But due to the almost perfect condition of the exterior, no rust, never been in an accident, it was too good of a car to send to salvage. We have every single maintenance record including the original window sticker from the purchase date. This is the perfect car for a mechanic.

    Best offer.

An '86 Toyota Cressida that doesn't run and needs a new transmission. Who cares if it's one-owner or 100-owner. It's worth about $500. He should sell it for scrap.

Rare and luxurious wagon. Also, mechanical parts are surprisingly easy to get, as it is a Supra under the skin. If the purchase is low enough, could be a really fun project to build into a true sleeper.

Good picture of the car though.

That's what I was thinking. These were really nice wagons when new-ish.
About the same size as a FWD GM A-body, but with more power and RWD.

Best of all, the performance and handling upgrades for a Supra Turbo simply bolt right in. A true sleeper.

Toyota Cressidas were the Lexus of the 80's. My neighbors had a sedan that was really nice. At 29 years of age, almost all cars are projects. This one looks promising sice it is in good shape and that there aren't many of these wagons left. It wasn't that long ago that wagons from the 60's-80's were just considered worn out scrap.
