Hello everyone. I'm new here and I can't wait to tell you about my wagon!
It has a neat story behind it I guess - it's been in the family since it was brand new. It's an '87 Pontiac 6000 S/E. The neat thing about it is that it has the LG5 Turbo Grand Prix motor with a Garrett GT2871R turbo in it.

Here are some pictures of it getting some new plumbing done with this new turbo. Had a 3" down pipe done and now it's getting buttoned up and finished. I would love to post some pictures but haven't figured out how to do it on this site. :banghead3:

It says to go to "user control panel and then to click on pictures and albums link." I don't see any of that..

    Ok, since you asked :)

So I grew up in the 70's and the folks always had wagons. Dodge Aspens, Plymouth Volares, Buick Century's... In '86 - '87 when I was in high school, they were about to purchase a Reliant K wagon. One day we swung by the Pontiac dealership in Longwood, Florida and this wagon that is now mine was on display on the showroom floor. I told my mom that if she HAD to have a wagon, she should get the sporty looking one instead of the K-car. It had 500 miles on it cause GM let some pro golfer use it at some tournament in Orlando. (I wish I knew who it was). Anyhow, the roof is white but the center is black and it was full of fingerprints cause everyone thought it was a glass roof. My parents purchased it and I learned to drive in it. Fast forward to 2004 I was just getting out of the military and the wagon was dying in Florida so I shipped it to Colorado. After the motor spun a bearing, I was about to scrap it sadly when the mechanic that was trying to fix it told me that he had a 1990 LG5 McLaren TGP motor under a work bench looking for a new home. Well, there's more to the story but, to keep it short, I put in that motor with a T3 turbo and it ran wild! Now, with better tuning, bigger plumbing, bigger injectors, bigger turbo etc, it should be quite the sleeper. It's been a long road. It spent 6 years parked in a u-stor-it till I found a shop who would work on it. Then just as it was running, it was obliterated by a massive hail storm. Luckily it had full coverage. Now, it's almost done and it will just need to have the paint redone. I can't wait to drive it. The interior looks brand new as my mom never even rolled the windows down. I did install the AQ9 seats off of the Turbo Grand Prix with matching cloth and color. The tranny has been beefed up as well and has a shift kit with a 2800 stall converter. I also converted the rear drums to disk brakes. Let me stop before I write a book.

Thanks for all the welcomes everyone! I'll be going to check up on it this Wednesday. There's still a lot of snow on the ground here so, I'm not sure if they've gotten to work on it. I'm hoping they have it done by the 14th since I go in for shoulder surgery on the 15th and I'll be out of it for a while.

Hubby had shoulder surgery a while back, everything turned out well for him, hope it does for you too.

    Take care.
