Rotors look good. Fluid must be a little low.

 

Whoa! My brother tends to drive down to the metal, but not through it.... Yikes!

A friend borrowed my wife's '98 Volvo V70 for a few weeks while her husband's truck was getting an engine rebuild. She started complaining that the brakes were squishy; then that it was leaking brake fluid. I pulled off the left rear wheel and noticed both pads were missing from the caliper. Then I saw this:

 

Some people are hard on the equipment.

 

The original post pictures............are those the slotted rotors everybody loves?

 

Mmm...try stopping a '77 Cordoba with those finned rotors, especially when one snaps the rotor surface clean off the hub.....

 

It's the other pedal which should be going to the metal. And I don't mean clutch
