http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/4799668222.html I will be looking at this in the morning. Any comments? David
I saw that ad last night and stared at it for a long time. She looks like a real beauty in the photos and description. Let us know how she looks in person. Pete
Any thoughts on price? I would need to charge the A/C and fix a small amount of rust on the bottom of the tail gate. The rust is only visible when you open the tail gate.
You're assuming the AC is fixed by charging it, I wouldn't take the sellers word for that. My bet is you'll be fixing something. Figure out what the max you want to pay then start off a couple grand less than that.
Beautiful wagon! Keep us updated. If you get it, you should bring it to the Toys For Tots car show in Alpharetta on Saturday. I'll be there with my wagon.
Okay, I looked at the Coronet and drove it this morning. Decent car but it will need a new tailgate do to rust. There are a few spots coming through (pin holes) on some of the doors. Engine runs well, A/C needs to be charged (has new dryer and seals), driver inner fender well was a little rusty but treated with POR and painted, heat works, seats are in good condition but original, carpet is new, one floor pan has been replaced (spot welded and seam sealed per the owner), body has numerous door dings and body scraps (no major dents), needs all weather seals of course, glass looks good, needs suspension work to help eliminate body roll, stops as well as expected for drum brakes, new tires with 15" wheels, doors shut nice and solid, and runs and shifts well (some hesitation at take off). Overall it's a nice looking car that gets attention. Car is owned by father and son that know what they are doing when working on cars. As for me, I still prefer the early 60's Ford or Chevy wagons. Let me know if anyone else wants it and needs more information. Would love to help!
