wow, 2 in the same week! http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto/4791650732.html, saw this second one, this one in SF area
This one, in SF Bay area - $15,000 The other one, in the Inland Empire area of Southern California (Riverside/San Bernardino counties) - $7,500 -- Same year/make/model. Similar equipment I think. The cheaper one seems to me to be in slightly better condition, just based on the pics.........
Can't compare them really, the cheaper one is in much much better shape from what we can see imho! The red one from the Bay area maybe also hiding a few inconvenient truths as well. Have a look at the bubbling under the red paint on the A pillar, this shows evidence of rust that starts from inside and eats its way to the outside unfortunately. While no classic car is safe compared to todays standards, I would hate to be in a smash in this one.
San Fran area gets LOTS of salt overspray for a long ways inland, carried by the fog, so rust starts in all the body seams and goes from there. Same thing around the gulf coast.
