    that's mine

That's my '69 and was surprised to see it on the splash page but glad to represent the classics :)

Bought the car about six years ago on my birthday from the second owner near battle creek, MI who told me he saved it from the crusher about seven years earlier as the original owner had two wagons and sold this one to the salvage yard because she didn't need two and kept the nicer one. 2nd owner's son put a paint job on it but otherwise was bone stock & solid as a rock. 350 4-barrel, 3rd seat, ac car with am/fm radio & 2-way tailgate. Unfortunately, a late model Lincoln tagged me on an icy patch of interstate and have been restoring it since. Just the front end, thankfully, but it was a sad day to see that pristine original front end get damaged. Have all the parts - just need to find the time/money to finish her. A side note on the Lincoln that hit me. His rear compartment popped like a balloon and it had to be flat bedded away while we drove the Vista back home. Classic american iron all the way for me safety-wise!
