I think I'd want one of these: 1956 Lone Star Meteor http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/lone_star/unspecified/1692946.html?refer=blog
When I lived in Illinoisy we lived near the Illinoisy river. I had three different boats over the years. We'd go down the river until my gas was low then we'd go back up the river. Next week we'd go up the river and back down the river. Going up river we had to wait till the guy at the locks opened it for boats. Then when we went back down we had to wait again till he decided to open the locks. Gee that was fun! Down here in Floriduuu we sometimes freeload off friends and go way down upon the Suwannee River but not far far away! But if I had this boat I'd sit in a lawn chair under a shade tree and stare at it cause it's cute.
Ideal for towing behind 55-58 Caddy painted same colors. Engine don't need to run. Just tow it around.
I remember our 50's boat looking similar to the 59 Chevy boat with large fins but no car lights. I repainted it blue and white and redid the inside in white vinyl. Had a pull start 35 horse Johnson.
Anyone else notice that the steering wheel is on the wrong side? :2_thumbs_up_-_anima  http://www.captkujo.com/aa/aa9072010.htm
NO! Never noticed. But that link is very intersting. Still why are American cars driven from the left side when we drive to the right? It would make more sense to sit nearer the side of the road and be safer too. Then maybe we wouldn't need a stupid air bag in front of us. No I didn't look that up to see why.
