I finally got a price on this car. $10,000.00 or best offer. ;)

I had emailed the seller about this car weeks ago for a price and finally received a reply today and wanted to pass along. This is way over budget for me.

    Here is the sellers reply:

"Thank you for showing interest in the station wagon. It was my father’s pride and joy and I have many great memories travelling with my parents in this luxury vehicle.

I am sorry I have not been able to respond as quickly as I would have liked. I have been dealing with my father’s estate and taking care of my mother who lives outside the city. We will have the vehicle in our hands shortly for viewing.

The response has been amazing and there is a lot of interest in the car! It is fully loaded. My dad took great care of his vehicle. I am not kidding the carpet and original ford mats look brand new, tinted original power windows, rear door opens two different ways, seats and dash have no cracks, or fading, it even smells new. There is no rust in the undercarriage or exterior skin, original tires are in great shape, there are so many other neat things about it… And seeing the car in person is its best selling tool. We are asking $10,000.00 or best offer.

If you are still interested and want to see the car to make a serious offer let me know and I will contact you".

If it's as nice as it looks and sounds, I'd say that's a fair price. You could never restore one for that. (But makes the black '73 CS Brougham also currently for sale even more of a bargain at $5000.)

He said to make offer (in the email to me)... someone had better do it.

My offer of what I could afford would be insulting, so I just told him it would be no where near what I thought he wanted for it.
