What kind of price do they want for the engine/tranny and all the electrical stuff?
    That would be ideal.

Still workin on that. I know the vehicle was hit HARD in the right rear and totaled. They bought it back to fix it and realized the frame is toast so it,s a loss to them. The wife wants to "fix" it,i.e. jack up the motor and put a new car under it so i'll keep askin till they get tired of seein it i guess.

Not a lot of experience in this. But son goes to a local (75 Miles away) U-Pull-It often. From what he hears they will let you buy all the parts you want, including engines and trannys, but won't sell the comeplete vehicle. So I suppose this changes with locations and owners. I'd want it all for the electrical goodies.
Sometime insurance issues prevent selling a wreck. Good luck.

yeah, michigan is a little different. There is a salvage title issued,an the vehicle can't be returned to the street or plated.

350s are nice. Get one with roller lifters and cam. If you like newer engines, the LSx engines are nice. Good mileage and lots of power.

so,thinkin i might go LT1.Got a chance to buy a wrecked roadmaster(96) that runs and drives. Anyone have any idea how much is involved.mounts, electrical, etc? I work a stupid amount of hours and a quick swap would be nice. If it's too awful i'd either go early style like it has, or go all out and LS motor that beast
