I think the tailgate should have a rubber strip on the tailgate where the window rolls down into. I've searched around and realized I'm not sure what the specific part/part number would be. Anyone have any idea?
Hi Chief From what I've found out, there is no one making a tailgate seal set.. One guy on the Galaxie forum used some rubber from Napa for door seals can't remember the part number, but when I was checking Napa had changed codes and maybe even manufactureres. It was there house brand... Best Dave
Although I don't know what it is supposed to look like, I'm thinking it's probably a wedge shape with the thick part at the tailgate and the tapering edge on the window. Guess I can hit NAPA and see what they have. Dennis Carpenter doesn't have anything either, and I guess if they don't no one does.
yes mine is gone could be a piece from a newer wagon might work.. big ford wagon from the 90's or maybe a long piece of felt..
