    Gone to the crusher! :slap:

However, he did tell me the name of the crusher. I may call them and ask about it.

A 70,000 mile '72 Ford wagon and it's gone to the crusher? Shame on all of us here. We should've chipped in just to save the fool thing, although there were no pictures of it. Maybe it was too far gone.

The seller only left the ad up for a day, maybe two. The description didn't sound like it was too far gone. Below is the ad description.

1972 Ford Galaxie 500 odometer: 70000 paint color : custom size : full-size type : wagon drive : fwd fuel : gas transmission : automatic title status : clean

Car sells today or goes to crusher tomorrow. The car has been stripped down to be painted. All the parts come with it but are removed. Body work is 95% finished and car is in primer. Engine is 351 Cleveland with 70,000 miles on it. Had not been started for over a year and started on first try today.

[/QUOTE]Why? Why did it have to go that quickly? Seems like it was a decent wagon. In primer, ready for paint and running.
We can't save them all. Especially under conditions like these. I'm sure many members here would have given scrap price or more for this wagon if only given a chance.
Must have been a good reason for scrapping it so fast.
"Honey it's either the wagon or me.":49: Well boys, what color should we paint it?:biglaugh:
