Patrick, I love that term, fauxtina. Hopefully it won't become a trend, because it looks ridiculous.

LOL! yes, but that would imply it kinda looks like patina.
    This looks more like vandalism.

Yup. Totally stupid looking. This wagon was on Ebay about 6 months ago, it seems like. Just like it sits now. The current seller didn't mess up this otherwise nice wagon. It was in GA then too, different seller though. I seriously considered it, with plans to undo the mess they made. Looks like the paint was decent before they screwed it up. I also saw it in person at the Pigeon Forge, TN rod run a couple of months ago. I'm pretty sure it sold for around $4000 (maybe less) when it sold on Ebay earlier this year.

I have to admit Whoever wire-wheeled the crap out of the paint was kind of a genius. Everyone has been complaining about how ruined the paint is now, and how nice it would look with a new coat of paint, and how they want to buy it just to fix the paint, and no one has said a thing about the rust issues. Maybe I'll do that with the next rust bucket I have to sell. Make the paint look absolutely horrible, call it "patina" and no one will even bother looking under the hood...

Looks to be somewhere in the U.K. judging by the street signs.

Wow, looks like a rookie job. They should have kicked in the doors and broke out a few windows while they were at it. Maybe slashed up the interior to give it a real "authentic" look.

You guys just don't get it like those English dudes who own it now.
I'm sure what really happened was while it was in lower Alabama and Georgia it was often used to shop at Wal-Mart. Those are just shopping cart blemishes on it. :rofl2:We see that all the time around here.

Probably driven by a guy who buys pre-torn jeans.

Yeah, sometimes what 'cool' in the good 'ole USA gets lost in the translation over to Europe. They get it maybe 75% right though. Japan - that's another story.

It reminds me back in high school, guys in shop class making gun cabinets. They used a chain to beat the wood, to make it look "old". Yeah, just as effective as this.
