Sorry guys, maybe I should have said something earlier. About 16 months ago hubby lost his job, it's a long story but the Labour Board is involved and it is nearing an end.
So Fannie once again had to wait. He is working again but it's been a long road. I don't like to bring anyone down with negative topics...this is such a great place to come and forget about the bad stuff going on in our lives.

It is not a race to get the car done - well, as long as it is done while you can still drive :49:. Life happens, the cars take a back seat and some times a way back seat for a time, at least you kept it. And glad your husband is back to work, it can be very difficult when you get past the 30 year old mark to be out looking for employment and being interviewed often by people much younger. The thing is, quite often, the new position turns out to be a blessing after all is said and done.

Fannie, crap happens, that's for sure. I've been out of work since June; looking every day and I must've sent out my resume to about 50 dealers. Very disconcerting, to say the least, but one good thing has come out of it; it's given me time for the forum!

Been there. It sucks for sure. What makes it easier to deal with is the fact that there are ether good people out there that have had similar experiences (even worse) that lend support.
Thank the heavens that we have a great forum filled with hard working, caring individuals who appreciate the simple things in life.

    Best of luck to you!(y)

Sometimes bringing a project home from the shop is not important. I just remembered fannie was being put off and things not getting done by the body shop. I also remembert your husband changed jobs.
We don't all tell everything or need to. I'm just happy fannie is back home whether being worked on or not. And now you have a wagon you can drive while fannie waits.
For us everything is on hold and waiting. I can't find a job either.
Oh wait. I'm retired! No one wants me except the Wal-Mart greeter team!:rofl2:
Many young people down here feel the world owes them a free lunch. The few places that do hire can't keep good help and most still want to pay below minimum wages.
I remember when I retired I still planned on working. Just in more of a retirement climate. For what most offered I could stay home and make more.

Hopefully it was one of the newer flat screen models....that might slide down a bit easier :disagree:

I just finished a TV dinner.

I missed this wording before. Actually these newer TV's are a lot easier to eat and digest because there are no tubes or real metal. Plastic is a lot easier on the system than those old black and white TV's with the large picture tubes and wood cabinets. They were very hard to swallow. Even the lack of knobs and buttons makes eating one almost a pleasure.
Sadly the crap that's on those new TV shows is much harder to swallow and tastes like crap.
Coincindentally I just finished a store bought pizza now. I seem to tune in just before and after I eat. Station wagon forums is very settling to my stomach.
