hi, yeah the wrinkles... i bought it with it now i dont know if i should repair or leave it as a patina it is a feature because of this wrinkles i found MY car in the mercury pics of the STW Forum recorded in the US i guess I was so happy, now I would get all the informations about the car, but the admin don´t know where the pics are from could anyone of you identify the sign behind the car on one of these pics? I´m not sure what you are meaning with the back lights. The back lights at this car are all red. Normally you need orange turnsignals in germany, but oldtimer with build year before 1970 are allowed to have red ones. If you have luck you can keep the red lights as well for younger cars, like mine.
I'll do some searching to see if I can locate the original thread those pics appeared in. In the meantime, I'm pretty good at picking out clues in photos that could identify the area they are in (areas I'm familiar with). Based on the lighting (very sunny) and the style of the buildings, I'd say that's somewhere in the southwest U.S. - Arizona, New Mexico, could even be Las Vegas or maybe Palm Springs, CA area. If you could read the phone # listed on the real estate sign, you would know for sure.
This is really great, thank you. yeah if we could read the phonenumber or the intersite at the bottom. I know the car was in in Las Vegas and Paramount CA. I ve got the correct addresses where the car was. If someone would like to help me I could give you the addresses. Thank you all in advance
Welcome to the Nuthouse we call home. One thing for sure that wagon is wonderful. I would be tempted to leave the ripples in the front fender alone. They are very minor, and it does not seem like there is major damage to the wood. Trying to repair the area would mean messing with the wood grain, and that is expensive and tricky. If you really want to find out where the car has been, post the cities and we can decipher from there. Enjoy that car! She is a beauty!
Welcome Dude. See here Children how the Big American Longroof in it's natural environment has to move ever so slowly to sneak up on the little Foreign Bugs. It's hard to believe that years ago the Big Longroof blended in to it's natural environment so well but Today it is so visible.
Thank you for trying it :2_thumbs_up_-_anima I found out that is it a Century 21 sign and the phone number seems to be from Henderson near Las Vegas NV That would match with the history of the car, because it was located in Las Vegas. MikeT1961 thank you for the offer to help As already written I´ve got the original sales contract, and at the address on the contract the family of the first owner still seems to live there. Yesterday i ve written a letter to this address. I m curious if something will come back from the family
