Great examples! The demo-derby section is pretty sad though :(

Yeah, it is a cool site. I had emailed him the production numbers awhile back. Not sure if he already had them or not though. I never heard. :)

I did not know that the site had got that far up. For awhile it was only a few photos. Good to see its making progress. Makes me want to get my 72' Estate on the road even faster. :)

Yeah and the part about it saying becoming friends with them for parts, well thats a joke (as far as my experience has been). I joined over there about 5 years ago, just because there is normally alot of old big cars for sale and I like to browse over there. I went over there searching for a back window switch for my wagon. I had about 5 different guys say they had one and they would give to me for free and just pay for shipping, but everytime I would say OK, they never would reply or send it. THEN I was wanting a front license plate bracket - same story. One guy said "next week" he would go take it off of the car and send it to me. Well, that was 7 months ago. There was another guy that said the same thing - never no bracket. Then there was a guy with bumper gaurds for a 72' Impala wagon with bumper gaurds that he was going to sell the entire car. I asked him if he would sell only the bumper gaurds and he said he did not know what they were worth. I told him I had seen some on ebay awhile back for $10.00, but had no idea what they were worth. I never even heard back from him. I guess $10.00 (plus shipping) was not worth his time. They seem to want a fortune for parts that they are going to trash anyway. I gave up over there on getting any parts.

So... I guess I will never get a window switch, front license plate bracket or bumper gaurds for my car.

Oh and I have some info on that red 72' Caprice wagon on the 72 pics page. That car does not even have A/C! Pretty rare for the Estate to lack A/C.

If that car is even in decent condition, at the price, you had better grab it fast.

He says it's a driver, but I called him just now, but no answer. I guess I'll try again tomorrow, and see where that gets me.

Try 'Skinny' from IL there... Had contact with him through the v8buick board. He seems more willing to gather and sell parts for our beloved clamshells.

Well....I think 72King is just always looking like we all do. He's looking for parts and puts up cars here that he finds. Tries to save them from the derby. Nothing wrong with that, for sure. As far as the cat out of the bag...well...all he did is tell of his experiences. Nothing wrong with that either. Info is always a good thing among friends and wagon lovers.
