Definitely would like to see more of this OCC clamshell wagon. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/4496104120.html
This one looks to be in REALLY great shape. It is also the first we've seen for sale in a LONG time that has the spare tire well painted black, as it should be, not body colour as most repaints are done. This could be a fantastic buy for the right person.
Yeah, I wouldn't push your luck, Mike......... OK, here's a question for you..... What old classic vehicle would Misty like to own? Marcia, believe it or not, would like an old pick-up. She's attracted to 'em at car shows like squirrels to nuts.
I see the black wheel well to but I wonder if it is a one year only thing? Maybe production plant specific or even a prior owner's attempt at rust proofing, Ziebarting...? Maybe even a pre production feature that didn't make it to production? These are just some ideas anyway. I'm thinking from a production line prospective that once the body is painted it would be extra effort to tape off this wheel well section and spray it black. Seems like a lot of extra effort that GM bean counters wouldn't like.
IMO, it's a one pic wonder with little description. You can't really tell anything about the car with what is provided by seller.
73 Olds O.K. So, you want $7,000.00 AND you can't even vacuum out the carpets? OH, AND the tail-gate doesn't even line-up properly? Rust behind the Fender-skirts... Where do I send the $7,000.00.... ??????? Imaginary Lane..??? REALLY......
From what we can see, it has a manual tailgate, which was unusual on Oldsmobile wagons as they were relatively high-end to begin with, no luggage rack, no rear window defogger, no power windows or locks, no tilt-wheel, and an AM-only radio. It does have A/C and cruise control. Actually, my '73 CC was not terribly high-optioned, either. Mine does have a luggage rack, power tailgate, power front seat, and A/C, but it does not have cruise control, tilt-wheel, power windows, or power locks, and it, too, had an AM-only radio. Mine doesn't have the wood-grain siding, either.
