70 Colony Park I think I see mold. But maybe a Week-end of detailing and washing might make this car really spruce up ? Would like to know how long its' been sitting and rest of body condition.
70 Colony Park I just realized that someone here needs to buy this great old Merc before the Derby Guys do. It is Totally in their price range. And it would be a shame to have that be this cars' fate. Anyone......????????
Wow do I wish I were in a position to buy this. It would cost more than it's asking price -- I'd guess close to $2K -- to transport to my area (but I've done that before). It will need more than just a little bit of work. Of course, you can't tell anything about the body condition, rust, etc. from the pictures. It's almost always that way on craigslist. It looks like this one has a few more options on it than the yellow one posted here a couple of months ago. Right off, I see twin comfort lounge seats -- although they need to be re-upholstered, which won't be a cheap venture -- and the deluxe rim-blow steering wheel. I see it's missing an arm rest, inside door handle, and window controls. It may have power windows; I can't tell from the photo. If I recall correctly, automatic transmission was required with the 429 4V. Power steering may have been required with this engine as well, but I'm pretty sure it was required with any engine when air conditioning was ordered. Anyone with better eyes (or monitor) than mine: Am I seeing a speaker grill in the door panel (indicating a factory stereo)? Once again, I can only rely on the lottery hit. C'mon, baby needs a new pair of wagons.
70 Colony Park COME ON !!!! Someone buy this before the Derby guys get wind of it !!! It is TOO NICE to let it end-up as Derby scrap!
Hi, I emailed the owner and the wagon does have the third row jump seats. This car is loaded and would make a great wagon for someone! There are new pics posted of the wagon a few days back. http://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/4467654313.html
It's back with many more pics. Looks well worth saving! https://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/4532732644.html
Looks like it could be a great deal if the frame and floors held up to sitting for what looks like a long time.
There very well could be potential now that we see more pics. Seller seems like a bit of a "flake" IMO, "" **RUNS AND DRIVES** Update 6/21/2014 - Got it started and drove it over to a better location"" and then says "" It has sat since last year. We got it running and moved it around last year" . So I would have to guess the pics provided are over a year old unless he parked it in a swamp judging by how sunk and flat the tires are.......... So "IF" it's in a better location now, why not post pic that mite help sell the car?
