    Good Morning,
My name is Scott and I am new to the Forum. I have ben looking to purchase a 1969 Rambler wagon and was looking for some help from the group.
    1) Are there any known issues with these particular cars i.e.: bad frames, engines, bad rust areas......
    2) Any idea on price or collectability.
    3) How accessible are parts for these cars?

I appreciate any help and information you can pass my way.

    Regards,
    Scott Webb

Rust free models might be found in Arizona or Texas or Mexico. They were among the first cars to be UNIBODY - no frames. Your other two points are part of the restoration adventure.

Anyway, welcome and good fortune with the adventure. (y)

Welcome Scott. You need to get all of that welcome stuff out of the way first. Then go to the regular forum and start asking questions.
As for the Rambler they are probably harder to find parts for than many. But most of this information is right here, or membrers will be happy to tell you.

Scott, welcome. I'd hate to steer you away from this forum, but you may find more specific info over at the AMC forum. http://theamcforum.com/forum/. But, please come back here when you find your wagon.

Man, you're about 2 weeks too late.

We actually had one of those for sale on our local Craig's List (Eugene, Oregon)a couple of weeks ago for $3500. Looked pretty good in the ad. Had the 290 V8.

    Welcome to the SWF...

I would say the hardest part will be not rust exactly.... but finding repo parts!
The big three have quite a few parts houses making gaskets, seals and reproduction bits. But Rambler, Hudson, Packard owners have a bit of a struggle keeping their machines on the road.

Every idea is a good idea to some people. At least this is not another cookie cutter wagon. Ramblers are nice driving and good looking wagons. As mentioned finding some parts can be a pain. If not keeping it 100% original then it won't be so bad.
Just don't put 24" wheels on it and paint it pink or we won't hold back!:D

The body side shot looks nice and straight. Got rust on the hood and fender area. Might not be a big deal. Any more areas like that? Could be a bad repair job from the past. I'd sand that area down and go from there.
