This looks pretty clean on the outside; no inside photos, though. I don't see many wagons of this vintage in silver. The seller is asking $12,500 and it is listed as being in Lemon Heights, California. http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/4431547898.html The ad text: "1968 Buick Sportwagon, Rare Astro roof, nine passenger full power incl. windows and tilt wheel, Yes!! she is a eight passenger with the third row forward facing seat.. Beautiful respray, very nice example with fresh chrome and 'lazer'straight boby. 350 V-8 power and sport wheels too. Come back in time and ride in 'moms' Buick wagon !! $12,500 714-544-6123 The Buick version of the 'Vista Cruiser'-- Just not too many of these around!!"
Looks like it may have had some body work done. Look closely at the right front fender; it is missing the marker light and some trim around the woodgrain at the forward edge. Makes me wonder considering the price. Also, some pics of the interior would help as well.
I hadn't noticed the missing trim or missing marker light. If spending this kind of money, I'd want to check out a car personally before committing to a purchase. There might be minor stuff you could easily fix later, or something big that would give you pause.
This is probably the same seller that has had a couple of nice Country Squires for sale (one of them being a red '68, IIRC...) He seems to like to flip station wagons. I may try to look him up next time I'm down in Orange County.
Have you looked at the Buick Sport Wagon? I may be interested in this car. He also has a 67 Country Squire listed as well.
Naw, I was down there last month and forgot about this guy. Was only a few miles away from him, too.......
