    Welcome

    ============================
    WELCOME Mark! SWEET wagon, always loved the 67 Chevelles.

    Curious of the gauge addition, did your Dad build that cluster or was it an aftermarket purchase? NEVER seen one like that myself.

    Thanks guys, lots of nice wagons and projects here :bowdown:

    Bill

    We had to rebuild all the channels - cut the pieces and tack for alignment and weld in place. The body man did that work, it was well beyond my skill level. Almost all were rotting away - but it was easy to remove the glass without breaking it, lol.

    We also had to use '66 El Camino patch panels grafted into the existing quarters as well, which made for some alignment challenges, mainly because the El Co panels needed to be grafted into the newly made channel.

    Attached are some pics of the rear quarter window repair on the passenger side. The driver side had the same work done.

    Thanks, I will tell him you liked it. Once, the president of the national Chevelle club asked me if it was factory! Dad loved that comment...

    Dad made that in '67, he can't remember where the idea for the design came from. We believe he had it rolled somewhere to actually make the front-surround piece, but the design might have been the speedo cluster from an old truck or an old piece of equipment he saw. But, he built the cluster to go around the steering column and house the gauges. I hung the tach off of it in 1981 or so. Those are the original green line Stewart Warner gauges in there from 1967.

    Thanks for the update, Mark.........mine aren't nearly as bad. The worst part on mine is the drivers side trim inside, at the front of the window. Part of it is rusted away, and the rest of the trim on that window is pretty rusty also. Where did you find gaskets for the side windows?

    We used windshield adhesive to reset them, as I recall, without the gasket - couldn't find any gaskets. We may have cut some gasket material to fit and then used the adhesive, but I don't think so.
