I am thinking about buying a 1992 Olds Custom Cruiser Wagon.
Mechanically the car is in pretty good shape and I know that the basic mechanical stuff is available.
The question I have is in regards to the Oldsmobile specific parts-specifically body parts.
On the bottom of both front doors-that molding pieces or what I would call cladding is missing. Are those parts still available new or is it junk yard time.
The reason I am asking is I also have an 1998 Olds Aurora which is
Impossible to get Olds specific parts for.
My Subaru wagon is doing great but it time for a big American Wagon.
    Thanks for the feedback.

J/Y time for that body cladding. You also might want to wander over to the GM Longroof Forum and throw up a 'parts wanted' appeal. There's a lot of guys over there that collect the whales and have extra parts.

Also, what's this Oldsmobile 'Customer Cruiser'? Is this like to give customers rides? Cool!

You'll be hard pressed to find these in a yard near you due to rarity so I second Krash's sentiment about the Longroof forum. That'd be your best bet to find OCC parts. Either that or scour the online junkyard search databases.

There is one other idea...remove what's left over, smooth out the bodywork, and give it a gorgeous deep paint job. Sell the leftover parts to another sucker, I mean, customer....:29:

I just picked up a 91 and am thinking about doing EXACTLY that even though mine has all the panels. With only 12,000 made chances of finding one in a boneyard are slim to none.

I haven't bought this 1992 yet-but I was thinking about all that was said.
The one I am looking at is that dark blue and the car does need paint-and the price is right.
But I also want to finish up my Subaru Wagon, and my fiancé is bugging me about she needs a newer car so I can picture a late model used Mustang in the driveway soon.
And I also have a low mileage 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora that I don't use much. Mostly a semi weekend car and car shows and occasionally cruise nights.Have had it 4 years and I think I only put about 15,000 miles on it.Got it from the original owners.it has maybe 80,000 on it now.
I just like the lines of the Olds Wagon and want to get a full size wagon.
I think we need a bigger driveway.
