    Hey All

I am a new member. Found this site surfing the Net, looked interesting.

I restored my first car, my father bought it new, a '67 Chevelle Station Wagon. I took my driver's test in it. It originally had a 283 and a powerglide transmission.

I put a 4-speed in it around 1983 after the powerglide started slipping. We took it to a car show for the first time at the '82 Car Craft Street Machine Nationals in Springfield, IL. Had it in storage until 2005 when we did a rotisserie resto on it. Has a 385 HP crate motor, 3:73 Olds rearend, and a Muncie 4-speed.

Outside is stock except the wheels and an SS hood. Inside is stock except for the 4-speed and the gauge cluster my father built in 1967.

Glad to be here, I hope you like the car. It looks like you have a good group here.

    Beautiful wagon, Mark!

I see lots of these (and next-generation) Malibu wagons on the internet and frankly, more than a few have been completely trashed by various owners - sloppy fabrication work, bondo, bad motors - you name it. I can see just by that one picture that yours is top-notch.

My wife's family owned a couple of '66/'67 Chevelles back then (not wagons), and I'm kind of afraid to show her the pic of yours - she might want me to dump the Way Back Machine!

    Welcome to the SWF....

Thanks for the nice comments, Guys

I'll post more pics during the week as well. Tried to do this reasonably well.

Had to do inner/outer quarters (had to make them of course ;-) ), inner/outer rockers, floor and around the stationary windows to get it solid. Same colors as before, except Arctic white instead of Ermine white. Same aqua/turquoise interior.

There are some seriously nice rides of members on this site! I need to keep surfing...

WOW! Mark, that's exactly the inspiration we need for our 67 Malibu wagon project. Ours is white (sunburnt) with blue (sunburnt) interior. Bought with no engine or trans, we have a 327/TH350 ready. Just got dropped spindles to do a disc changeover............long way to go..........
