Greetings from Salem, Oregon, Stumbled across your site while googling parts for 68 Caprice wagon. Fixing it up to sell, saved it from the guy who parked it a few years ago, after robbing it of the original 396. Has a later 454 that came with it, supposedly rebuilt. Recently retired from law enforcement, and loving it. Collected several old cars to play with while off, and have been finally enjoying the shop and having time to work on something regularly. Thanks for the forum! T.J.
Welcome to the forum! We'd love to see any pics you take while you go through the restoration of your caprice. Good luck!
to the forum. Many of us are interested in everything on wheels. Feel free to add photos of your toys.
Welcome to the SWF, from a fellow Oregonian! Maybe you should reconsider selling that '68 Caprice... but then again, it looks like your garage is pretty full. We've got another well-respected SWF member in your town - Jairus. Has a little graphics / T-Shirt business. http://www.ratholecustoms.com/ Anywhose, glad to have you here! Marshall
welcome... glad to see you are retired and enjoying it..... i am retired and work more now than i did when my shop was still open...ha ha ha ha ha .. but loving it
Too many cars I've seen his cool 58 Ford wagon, has his logo on the side. One of the clubs in town hosts a "Rust-O-Rama" every summer, think I saw it there. Yeah, too many cars, but just as I decided to focus on two and sell the rest, I stumbled across an all original 41 Plymouth at the Portland Swap Meet a week ago. Rust free, original interior, 57,000 miles. At first I was good, rode my bike away from the booth, but thankfully a friend convinced me to go back. Always wanted a gangster car, just found an engine to make it driveable, even though the original one may get rebuilt at a later date to go back in it. Should have the Caprice driving next week, selling it and the Sprite will fund a house project. Then it's scurry about to get the Spitfire going for the summer. Not complaining, nice to be doing what you like on a regular basis. Here are photos of a few of the "collection". Thanks to all for the welcomes!
