Yeah, baby, my Plymouth is back from paint and body!:yahoo: Woohoo! My son and I drove up to Missouri to get the car today. Did some horse-trading and cash for the work. The top is matte finsh white, and the rest is a tad darker than OD Green in aq semi-gloss finish for that hot rod look! I'm not going back stock with it - it's getting a '69 440 and automatic - so I'm building it to have some fun with!:bouncy:

The trip was pretty uneventful going up, but there was an accident on the turnpike, involving an Oklahoma State Trooper in a new Charger and a civlian in a new Ford Ranger. Wrapped both vehicles up so bad that they were both half their original size! Three LifeFlight helos from Tulsa showed up. Traffic was halted for close to an hour. Don't know if either one lived or died - what a friggin' mess it was!

    Pics later!

Didn't think I'd like it 'unshiny', but it looks fine! Well done! (y)

neat....looks like you shaved the door handles??
Looks like a 66 Coronet 500 peaking out behind it and a NYB in front...nice.

Yes on both counts. The Dodge is mine and the Chrysler is the wife's. We consider the wagon the "our" car!

Plans are to put poppers on the doors that are remote-operated. The interior is either getting stock seats, or a set from a '79 Diplomat coupe. I'm still looking for a grille assembly and some wagon-specific trim and interior bits, and a gas tank.

Some more on that turnpike accident - http://www.news9.com/Global/story.asp?s=10051566

I've always wondered how you open the doors when the handles are shaved, and the battery is dead? :hmmm:

Some guys on the HAMB have some neat manual backups. Concealed coax cables. As long as you've got the keys to open the trunk or the hood latch.

I think I some links to vendors in the HAMB links page.
