There's a positive and a negative side to most any situation. If there wasn't an embargo, it'd likely there would be very few of these old heaps left. If this one was in good shape, it would probably be the most valuable vehicle on that entire island. Well, at least, in the top ten:

Quite a few of those would sell for fairly big bucks over here - 'as is'. Those tin woodie Chevys would do real well.

Most you can say about some of them is that, "It was a 'Xxxxx' at one time...."

Those are some amazing vehicles. Apparently Bondo and cheap enamal are plentiful over there. Most of those wagons must have several million miles on them.
By the way, did Studebaker even make a station wagon in 1950? I notice a lot of those wagons and cars have modified roof lines.
Did you know that the 1950 Studebaker has the full chromed center rings and the 1951 has a smaller painted outer ring? We just got rid of a 1950.

Those people are good at improvising, Sir. Those rooflines are original museum pieces. And it's more likely that isn't Bondo, thank the sore loser's initiated Embargo. Rather, it might be some painted over unbaked or sun-baked clay

I noticed that the green 57 Ford with the flat black hood had a straight axle under it.

Also, the green buick that's belching smoke has 1 ton, split rim truck wheels on the front.

It seems, most of those vehicles sport Soviet wheels and axles, by the looks of them, Sir. Easier to do that, than to try copying individual pig contents

Tedy, did you visit the tropics and take these photos yourself?:camera:
If so, I hope you brought some Cohiba cigars back with you.
They are still prohibited in the USA.
Am I the only one who noticed that the cars that had nice custom chrome wheels all had the exact same style?

Thanks Tedy. I've seen clips of the pre '59 cars in cuba but this is the 1st time for the long roofs even tho' we all knew they had to be there. Hard to believe they can still keep 'um running with no re-supply of parts aye?

Not to mention the salt air.
It's ruined more than one Florida car!
